To celebrate the close of the Guggenheim’s 50th Anniversary year, The competition invite you to create your own dream intervention of the Guggenheim Museum. Now you can take on the same challenge that 200 artists, designers, and architects took on for the exhibition Contemplating the Void: Interventions in the Guggenheim Museum.

The competition, entitled Re: Contemplating the Void—Create Your Own Guggenheim Intervention, corresponds to the current exhibition Contemplating the Void: Interventions in the Guggenheim, in which the Guggenheim Museum invited nearly two hundred artists, architects, and designers to imagine their dream interventions in the rotunda space. Taking place from April 16, 2010, to May 14, 2010, the competition allows participants to submit a hand sketch, computer rendering, watercolor, painting, photo collage, or any 2-D format that communicates their ideas effectively. Participants are encouraged to be truly creative and submit ideas that capture the full potential of the Guggenheim’s rotunda.
