The basic idea is the possibility of taking several elements with you at any given moment and putting together an object that you can rest on, on the beach or anywhere outdoors. When the object was designed, esthetics and comfort were equally important factors, while at the same time, it was important to create an object that was light, easy to transport and takes little space when put away. Authors came up with an idea to create the segments of the lounge out of plywood and connect them with an elastic band, which makes the product very easy to (dis)assemble.

    TECHNICAL INFO

Arc lounge consists of 13 identical “ribs” of plywood, 8 mm thick, which are ergonomically cut, creating a very comfortable (rocking) lounge. The ribs are connected with an elastic band, and the lounge is wider in the middle because the ribs are positioned with a comb-shaped distancer. Disassembly is simple - distancer is removed, ribs snap back together. The lounge is produced on CNC machine, which is one of the reasons it is suitable for mass production. Dimensions: 1960 x 720 x8 mm, dimensions of the distancer: 510 x 120x 16 mm.
