Designer Sung-kyu Nam, that was already featured at DesignLoft HERE , came up with another High-Tech Idea , that takes the term ” Desktop” to the Portable level.

Using a Samsung Portable Computer, this beautiful table is integrating in a seamless way the computer into the working desk .

Designer´s own words : ” DesCom was coined by combining the words ¡°Desk¡± and ¡°Computer¡±. This design was created with ¡°one-room people¡± who value future entertainment in mind. When connected to a basic home theater, it functions as a main computer and, when the main body is separated, it can be installed in the living room. DesCom is suggested as a new business line, targeting the B2B market of Samsung..”

Beufiful Design ? Yes .

Problems ? yes!

From the product design point of view, this desk is completely dependent on the existance of the laptop itself.

What will you do with the desk when you change computer?

What will the designer do when a new laptop will arrive ?

How can one use the desk WITHOUT the computer ? (See image below)
